Lindsay and I are sitting quietly in the garden at Casa Blanca. I have just typed and lost a Blog, so am setting off again. Along with my 1300 or 1400 images to sift through, I feel the arrgh of the digital age.
It is lovely here, weaver birds are bustling about building their nests in a nearby tree, the sweet, slightly cloying smell of jasmine is drifting across, and alongside the fence the sharp red and soft orange of bougainvillea reminds us again that we are still in Africa.
We are sipping coffee as we reflect on the past amazing four weeks of travel . The 'Family' left a while ago to head for the Airport, so we are alone. Shortly also to enter the airways and fly up the Continent to Europe.
We hope you have enjoyed our blogging, each with a different take on what we have experienced. For Lindsay and I, it is not, will we return, but when. The Africa we know, which both frustrates and makes you fall in love with it, is in our blood, in Lindsay's birth.
For now, the closing moments of a great trip.
